In 2014 Ukraine opened a new page in history, having proved its civilized choice and having begun an irreversible process of transformation to a modern European country. The country has drawn conclusions from the mistakes of the last decades, and renewed its political, social, educational, cultural priorities as well its place on the map of modern Europe.
The rate and success of integration process highly depend on the cooperation with the neighboring countries that are already the EU members. The experience of Poland, Lithuania, Estoniain rebuilding their economy, system of self-government, scientific and educational work will help Ukraine avoid unnecessary mistakes and smoothly join the European Union.
The eighth business-forum Europe-Ukraine was held on February 15-17th,2015 in the city ofŁodz (Poland). It was focused on real economic proposals concerning modernization and development of economic potential, and utilization of natural resources of Ukraine.
Since one of the key topics of the forum and panel discussions was the process of preparation and adaptation of Ukraine to European system of government and collaboration, and also the search of strategic partners in different fields of business, the delegation of Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University joined over 400 particpants from Europe, U.S. and Ukraine. Among our delegates were Andrii Deshchytsia, Pavlo Petrenko, Anton Herashchenko, Vadym Karasiov, Oleksandr Moroz, Bohdan Havrylyshyn, Volodymyr Ariev.
Oleksandr Lazuka, member of the working group dealing with the issues of progress and realization of the project of the EENU Scientific and Technological Park, presented Science Park – Cooperation of Advanced Science and Business for Prosperity project within the framework of the discussion panel “Economy and Regions” of the thematic block “Sustainable Development in Western and Central Regions.Ukraine Investment. Conditions for Direct Investment. Ukraine 2014 – Success of Transformation”.
Using the advantages of location, experience and prospects of cooperation with foreign partners, the EENU Science Parkwill become essentially a new subject of realization of scientific-educational cooperation between educational institutions in the context of European integration and trans-border ties. The Park has been created on the basis of the University campus in collaboration with educational institutions of foreign countries and financially supported by the EU institutions.
