Representatives of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University received awards from Heads of Volyn Military State Administration and Volyn Regional Council. The action took place on May 21, 2024 in the premises of Volyn Regional Council with the participation of its Head Hryhorii Nedopad and First Deputy Head of Volyn Oblast Serhii Movenko.
Thus, laureate diploma of regional prize in the field of science was awarded to Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Recruitment, Professor of Department of Ukrainian Language and Linguistics Yurii Hromyk, and the diploma of the scholarship recipient of the annual scholarship of the Volyn Regional Council for young scientists was awarded to Doctor of Historical Sciences, Doctor of Humanistic Sciences in History, Assistant Professor of Department of World History Oleh Razygraiev.
Hryhorii Nedopad noted that it is symbolic to reward the scholars on the occasion of Science Day, which was celebrated on May 18. "We perfectly understand how important it is in wartime for science to develop. This brings our victory closer. Therefore, together with Volyn Regional Military Administration, we want to honour scientists and scholars," said Head of Regional Council.
First Deputy Head of Volyn Regional State Administration Serhii Movenko thanked the scholars for training the young generation who will participate in the development of the country in the future.
After that, Deputy Rector Tetiana Rospopa spoke briefly about the awarded Lesya's scholars. Thus, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and Recruitment Yurii Hromyk, in addition to administrative functions, continues a scholar's work and actively participated in the publication of the Complete Academic Collection of Lesya Ukrainka's works compiling one of the volumes. Currently, Yurii Vasyliovych and a team of like-minded people are preparing a multi-volume edition of the works of the mother of the University patroness Olena Pchilka.
Assistant Professor of Department of World History Oleh Razigraiev received a scholarship for young scientists for achievements in the field of History and Archaeology. The day before, Oleh Volodymyrovych won the Young Scientist of the Year competition in the field of History and Archaeology.
