SUPERVISORY BOARD The purpose of the Supervisory Board of the University is to contribute to the strategic planning and solution of future-oriented tasks of the University’s development, to attract financial resources in order to ensure its activities in the main directions of its development and to control their use, to promote effective interaction between the University and government bodies, local government institutions, scientific communities, social and political institutions, and business entities aimed at the development and improvement of the quality of its education activity and its competitiveness with peer institutions, to exercise social control over its activities, to supervise the management of the University’s property, and to monitor compliance with the purpose of its creation. According to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No 962 dated July 24, 2020, the membership of the Supervisory Board of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University is composed of the following persons: Ihor Palytsia, politician, statesman, Honored Economist of Ukraine, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Secretary of the Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, appointed Chairperson of the Supervisory Board. Oleksandr Tovsteniuk, Chairperson of the Management Board of Ihor Palytsia’s Foundation “Tilky Razom”, Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD in Economics), appointed Deputy Chairperson of the Supervisory Board. Viktor Levandovskyi, President of InternetDevels LLC, appointed Secretary of the Supervisory Board. Iryna Konstankevych, politician, scholar, public figure, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Andrii Kovalchuk, Hero of Ukraine, Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Chief of Staff – First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Air Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Tymofii Zinkevych (Mykhail), religious figure, Doctor of Theology, Hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan of Lutsk and Volyn. Viktor Korsak, Chairperson of the Management Board of Volwest Group, founder of The Korsaks’ Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art. Larysa Ivshyna, Editor-in-Chief of all-Ukrainian newspaper Den’ (The Day). Petro Pylypiuk, Chief Executive Officer of the international company Modern-Expo Group.
