Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University asks Volyn residents to support the University's initiative to create the unique Complete Works of Lesya Ukrainka.
As we have informed earlier, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Lesya Ukrainka (February 25, 2021), the 14-volume set of the works by the great writer is planned to be published in Lesya’s University. Currently, about 30 of the best researchers from all over Ukraine, most of whom are from our University, are working on the Complete Works of Lesya Ukrainka.
One of the project managers, a Doctor of Philology, Serhii Romanov pointed out that such an edition is necessary and unique: “For 150 years since Lesya Ukrainka's birth, we have no complete collection of her works. All former editions were incomplete and had other faults. For instance, due to ideological reasons, the writer's views on religion, national and language issues were not fully presented. Now, living in an independent country, we can try to read and comment on the writer's works as confidently and freely as it should be. ”
Keeping in mind that the implementation of such a large-scale project involves a lot of expenses, the creators of the collection applied for participation in an artistic contest for the development of an information product model of graphic nature on the topic: "Production of polygraphic works" ("Lesya Ukrainka's Works. Full Academic Collection"), which is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. In case of winning the competition, the creative team will receive the necessary funds.
That's why the compilers of the 14-volume set and Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European University ask for help. To do this, you need:
- to visit the webpage of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine http://mkms.gov.ua/conte…/platforma-vidkritih-konkursiv.html;
- choose a project entitled " The development of an information product model of graphic nature on the topic: "Production of polygraphic works" ("Lesya Ukrainka's Works. Full Academic Collection")
- click the button “VOTE” under "Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University".
Thank you for the help!!!
