On October 1, Rector Anatolii Tsos met with 50 most successful freshmen of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University in the conference hall of the University.
It is worth reminding that Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University and Ihor Palytsia's Fund “Only Together” have signed important agreements – a memorandum of cooperation and a program to support talented youth "We keep talents in Volyn."
As part of this program, 50 freshmen with the highest competitive score, according to the rating lists, will receive scholarships in the amount of 1,500 hryvnias from Ihor Palytsia's Fund "Only Together". For the first semester of the new academic year, 337,000 hryvnias have been allocated for this purpose.
The Rector of the university congratulated the students on this distinction, wished them further success in their studies, and expressed the hope that the university will widely introduce elements of the dual form of education into undergraduate students’ educational process.
"Dual education involves a combination of study at the university and in the workplace. This form of education is new, but relevant and promising," said Anatolii Vasylovych.
Rector's assistant Tetiana Rospopa willingly told the audience about the program to support talented youth "We keep talents in Volyn", which is being implemented at the University thanks to Ihor Palytsia's Fund "Only together".
Tetiana Vasylivna also reported on the peculiarities of the educational process in a higher education institution, on the difference between academic and social scholarships, noting: “Students can contact me directly if they need to resolve issues related to education and accommodation”.
The chairman of the Student Board Andrii Danyliuk spoke about the directions of work of the University Student Board, student deans, and about the events planned for freshmen. Communicating with students, among other things, he encouraged young people to join the page of Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University on social networks Facebook and Instagram.
Tetiana Kulyk, a specialist in preventive education at the Department of Youth Policy and Social Work, asked the freshmen about the process of adaptation to learning and offered psychological assistance to those who need and want to talk to a psychologist. Tetiana Mykolaivna also said that she was very glad that young people, with high scores of external independent testing, had chosen Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
"You are our pride. You are the elite of the university," Tetyana Kulyk said.
