On June 29, a solemn meeting of the Academic Council dedicated to the Constitution Day of Ukraine was held at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.
In the beginning, Rector Anatoly Tsos took the floor and said: “Our primary task is to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine win. At the same time, we must provide quality education and educate young people. Constitution is important for developing of our statehood. God, grant us victory and peace!”
After that, those present watched a thematic video prepared by the information policy department.
The members of the Academic Council listened to a lecture by Doctor of Juridical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Kravchuk, dedicated to the Constitution Day of Ukraine. He focused on the new circumstances of the state holiday under martial law and spoke about the impact of military aggression on the constitutional processes. “Our primary task is to win, and then we will immediately start making changes to the Constitution, primarily, in terms of European integration and Euro-Atlantic aspirations,” Volodymyr Kravchuk noted.
After the lecture, there was a Ceremonial Awarding of Honorable Certificates and other awards.
For many years of honest work, significant personal achievements in the field of education and science, a significant contribution to the development of higher education, training of qualified specialists, high professionalism, and on the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine, the badge “Excellent in Education of Ukraine” was awarded to:
- Dykyi Oleh Yuriiovych, director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Continuous Education;
Honorary certificate of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to:
- Natalia Viktorivna Balabukha, the Head of the Educational and Methodical Department for quality assurance of higher education;
Certificate of Appreciation was granted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to the following persons:
- Duchyminska Tamara Ivanivna, the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology;
- Knysh Serhii Volodymyrovych, the Head of the constitutional, administrative and international law department;
- Cherniak Oksana Pavlivna, the Head of the foreign languages and translation department;
- Trotsiuk Aida Mykolaivna, associate professor at the foreign languages of natural and mathematical specialties department.
The Public Organization “Ukrainian Society of Geodesy and Cartography” awarded Voloshyn Volodymyr Ulianovych, associate professor at the Geodesy, Land Management, and Cadastre Department, with the medal named after Professor Ostrovskyi, for his significant contribution to the development of geodetic education and research.
The Department of Education and Science of the Volyn Regional State Administration of Ukraine awarded Blahovirna Nataliia Bohdanivna, vice-rector for educational work and communication, with a Certificate of Honor for many years of devoted work, high professionalism, productive scientific and pedagogical activity, and on the occasion of the Constitution Day.
The Attestation Board of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, by its decision, awarded academic titles of professor and associate professor to the following persons:
- Bortnikova Alla Vasylivna – professor at the World History Department;
- Tsymbaliuk Iryna Oleksandrivna– professor at the Entrepreneurship and Marketing Department;
- Galian Volodymyr Volodymyrovych – professor at the Department of Experimental Physics, Information and Educational Technologies;
- Muliar Oksana Petrivna – associate professor at the History of Ukraine and Archaeology Department;
- Alendar Nadiia Ivanivna – an associate professor at the General Pedagogy and Preschool Education Department.
Yurii Ivanovych Velinets was awarded the diploma of Doctor of Philosophy DR No. 004496 in the specialty 032-History and Archeology (field of knowledge 03 Humanities) on the grounds of public defense of the dissertation, dated December 13, 2022, and the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science, dated December 28, 2021 No. 1446.
