The students of the Faculty of Geography, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, have been on a five year long internship and received double degrees at European universities.
Currently, under the "Double Diploma" programme, the faculty already has three graduates who studied at the Department of Tourism and Hospitality, eight students majoring in 241 "Hotel and Restaurant Business" and 242 "Tourism".
Also every semester, students of the Faculty of Geography undergo a three-month internship at the Polish and German higher education institutions. For the promotion of international activities at the Faculty of Geography and during the Days of Science at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, the "International Activities at the Faculty of Geography" round table was held by the Deputy Dean for Educational and Methodological and International Activities Iryna Yerko.
In the online format, the students learned about the possibilities of international internships and the Double Diploma programme, as well as held a discussion with programme participants, interns and the curator of the Jan Dlugosz University of Humanities and Natural Sciences in Częstochowa Daniel Bakota.
It should be noted that the students of the Faculty of Geography can take part in the "Double Diploma" programme in specialties 241 "Hotel and Restaurant Business", 242 "Tourism" and 014.07 "Secondary Education". (Geography) ”at the Jan Dlugosz University of Humanities and Natural Sciences in Częstochowa.
In general, the list of educational institutions and specialties for internships is much longer. Thus, it is the Pomeranian Academy in Słupsk (specialties 106 "Geography", 103 "Earth Sciences", 241 "Hotel and Restaurant Business", and 242 "Tourism"), the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (specialty 193 "Geodesy and Land Management") .
“The available opportunities are far not enough for us so we are actively working with the Department of International Relations of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University on further prospects," as stated by the Faculty of Geography representatives.
