From 20 to 23 March 2024, a research group led by Professor Larysa Zasiekina, working in the field of psychotrauma research, consisting of Dr Olena Zhuravlova, Dr Iryna Hlova and Dr Yuliia Rozmyrska, actively worked on discussing joint research and writing a grant proposal with their partners from Queen’s University Belfast. The meetings took place at the partner university in Northern Ireland. During the three days of productive work, Ukrainian researchers presented our university, talked about the current projects of the Ukrainian Psychotrauma Center, headed by Professor Larysa Zasiekina, and got acquainted with the experience of the Research Centre for Stress, Trauma and Related Conditions (STARC), headed by Professor Cherie Armour. The collaboration is part of a successful Official Development Assistance grant co-ordinated by Professors Larysa Zasiekina and Cherie Armour and funded by Queen’s University Belfast. The UK delegation also included Dr Donncha Hanna, Dr Martin Robinson and Dr Eric Spikol.
The collaboration resulted in the development of key ideas for the future project, the contacts with international grant fund, the writing of a grant proposal, and the scheduling of a new meeting at the University of Cambridge in November 2024 to continue the research.
