Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University hosted the IV international scientific and practical online conference “Physical Activity and Quality of Life of a Human”.
120 lecturers from 45 higher education establishments of Ukraine, Poland, Belarus, Slovakia and Czech Republic had registered for participation; 70 people became active participants.
One fact worth mentioning is that since 2017 the conference has been taking place at the EENU campsite “Hart” in the Svitiaz countryside of Shatsk region. This year, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the conference had to be conducted online.
The event began with the EENU Rector’s greeting the members and commending co-organizers, namely: Jan Długosz University (Poland), Pavol Jozef Šafárik University (Slovakia), Jan Evangelista Purkyně University (Czech Republic), Palessie State University (Belarus) and Jan Kochanowski University (Poland).
The Rector also expressed his thanks to the higher education institutions whose representatives had joined the conference, and congratulated the staff and the students of the EENU Faculty of Physical Education, Sports and Health on the 50th anniversary of its establishment.
According to Anatolii Tsios, the topic of the conference was unique, since physical activity and the quality of life of a person is what determines our emotional attitudes to the environment and the perception of reality.
“This year the conference gathered a potent team of scientists who deal with the issue of improving the quality of life of people through physical activity. Of course, online mode may not be as efficient as in-person meetings, but this is the best decision for the time being”, Anatolii Tsios said.
The aim of the conference was to engage scientists in justification of the role of physical activity in improving the quality of life of humans.
The agenda comprised the following issues:
– The genesis of the concepts of physical activity and the quality of life of a person.
– The components of the quality of life of a person.
– Physical activity and health.
– Physical activity in the lifestyle of a person.
– The programs of physical activity.
– Physical activity as an aspect of the quality of life of a person.
– Physical activity within the physical rehabilitation and social adaptation.
The key points of the participants’ reports are to be soon published in the e-journal. The members are to receive certificates for participation, as well as programs of the conference and collections of abstracts, in electronic format both.
