The world has overturned due to the unruly circumstances. Educational institutions, businesses and citizens have become an unprecedented team and are carrying out activities to bring us closer to victory. Supporting economic processes by business entities, resumption of economic activity, encouraging the export of finished products of the enterprises located in a safe area is today’s priority.
The purpose of the educational and scientific laboratory of the Department of Accounting and Taxation of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn University is to form in modern graduates specialty skills and competencies in business entities consultancy in the field of accounting and taxation. Through the mediation of experts, professionals in accounting and taxation, graduates, representatives of fiscal authorities, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and government agencies, current issues are elucidated.
In this framework, an online webinar was held by Vitalia Savchuk, Chief Accountant, Master of Accounting and Auditing, a graduate of the specialty “Organisation of Accounting for Export Transactions on the Example of “ART-EXPRESS Ukraine LLC” “ROSA” TM”. Ms. Vitalia spoke about the institution where she directs the accounting and financial activities. It was interesting for the audience to learn that Novovolynsk has such a powerful enterprise, the main activity of which is the involvement of society in art. The graduate spoke about the main groups of goods exported to more than 20 countries. She noted that the EU countries are the main exporters of the Volyn company, but the products are also exported to the United States, Thailand and other countries.
The conversation was especially informative in terms of the discipline “Accounting and Taxation of International Transactions” and the uniqueness of the educational programme “Accounting and Taxation”. During the webinar, Ms. Vitaliia focused on the following issues: opening a foreign currency account; main aspects of accounting during the conclusion of foreign trade agreements; work with invoices / SCD; accounting aspects of customs clearance; changes in the regulatory and legal support of currency control, accounting for foreign economic activity, controlled transactions; features of registration of export operations in the accounting programme “1C-Enterprise”.
We are convinced that the gained knowledge will be useful not only for the present lecturers and students, but also for the chief accountants who joined the event.
Given the realities of today, we decided to expand aspects of our work as a structural unit of the University. In the future, we will direct our activities not only towards the educational space, but also focus on forming a consulting platform for business considering their accounting and analytical services. To this end, from today the laboratory will function as a consulting hub.
